JONATHAN HERRERA SOTO

In the works of Jonathan Herrera Soto (born 1994), the use of remnants, organic materials, and other methods creates representations of incomplete spaces. As a reflection on the ephemeral nature of human experience—here presented as an ineffable moment—Soto’s paintings capture the physical processes of decay and destruction on the surface of the canvas caused by corrosive materials, as well as the blurred imagery of memories.
