orm オーム

orm オーム is an artist unit formed in 2024 by artists Tomoya Fujii and Chikaya Takahashi. The name “Form” refers to shape, form, appearance, and structure in English, but “orm” derives from a wordplay in which removing the initial “F” transforms both the original meaning and the shape of the word into something else.

They were winners of the NEW Backbone Artists Grand Prix at New Artists / NEW Backbone Artists 2025, and were selected for the Reiwa 7 Agency for Cultural Affairs Media Arts Creator Development Support Program. They also run the artist-run space Syndicate in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture, and curate exhibitions both domestically and internationally.
